This hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. the value for money was outstanding. Not only were the prices very reasonable, but the attention to detail was impressive. The hotel is located in the city center, right next to a lovely small river. It is also conveniently close to the town square, making it easy to explore the charming surroundings. The rooms were equipped with a kitchenette, allowing for added convenience during our stay. I really appreciated the extra futon in the room, which provided additional sleeping space. Lastly, the breakfast offered a wide selection and was a great way to start the day.
All was more than satisfactory.

Nothing to declare! Amazing conditions, facilities in an amazing envoirment with both city and country side together. Maybe the only thing to state is that the breakfast doensn't live to the expectations that the place and the stay gives, but still, impossible to take it as a weak minus point. Really impressed and happy, hopefully will go back there again.
Everything just perfect. The price was so cheap comparing with the quality that they give. Nothing really to complain. Just pluses this hotel =)

There was some misunderstanding and a single room was prepared instead of double. In order to fix that, an apartment was given to us at the same rate, and it was very nice!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and had a whirlpool tub which we loved. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection and the coffee was really nice. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The location was perfect for us, just a two-minute walk to the old town centre, with good transportation options nearby. We also appreciated the parking facilities which were convenient and well-managed.
Nothing negative to say.

Parking is free (but not secured).
No internet connection possible in the rooms upstairs on 2nd floor. We've stayed there twice--9 months apart--and 2 different rooms on 2nd floor could not get internet. You have to go outside of your room into the hallway by the computer hub to get wireless internet signal, which is very inconvenient as Maxim advertises free internet available in the rooms--and this is not the case for upstairs on 2nd floor rooms.

We had a great time celebrating New Year's Eve at this hotel. The room was clean and cozy, and we enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee. The location was perfect for us, just a short walk from the city center, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the free parking, which made it easy for us to explore the surrounding areas by car.
Our only issue was with the shower, which had poor water pressure. Hopefully, this can be improved in the future.

Great value and just outside of Prague. We needed a place the first night after arriving late from the US and the room was beautiful overlooking the lake. Beroun is a few miles SE of the airport. Clean, quiet, and welcoming. Good wifi signal.

Maxim is a great value. Not fancy; clean and modern, within a block of the town square, yet less than 10 minute drive into Czech countryside. An excellent spot to take a couple days break in the middle of a hectic romp through eastern Europe. The staff are extremely accomodating. Tony took time to walk us to the train station and help with ticket purchase. Very convenient service to Prague central. There were six in our party and renting the "apartment," (family room with kitchenette and attached double bedroom) gave us a great area to socialize.

The hotel location was perfect for our needs, as it was close to the old town center and river. the breakfast was delicious with a variety of options, and we could easily access it from our room. Another great feature was the friendly staff, always attentive and helpful with our requests.
The smell in the room, which we suspect came from the restaurant downstairs.

The hotelier was exceptionally helpful, speaking brilliant English. He appeared whenever you wanted him to and helped in translating for train tickets and took us most of the way to the train station 15 mins away to ensure we were on the right route. You could not ask for more. The rooms are ultra clean and really nice with a jacuzzi in ours! Car parking at hotel, although it was full on our arrival the hotelier paid the 50 Cowan car park ticket for us in the public car park right next to the hotel. The attached restaurant was great for price and service and great food. It was open till about 2130 so our arrival late evening was not a problem.

This hotel is a gem! It offers great value for your money – a true find. The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw away from the beautiful city center. You'll love being so close to the main town square and the center of town. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring your stay is enjoyable. The rooms are well-appointed, with some even offering a view of a park. Plus, there's a nice touch of having a kitchen and an extra futon in some rooms. And let's not forget the breakfast – absolutely amazing!
All was perfect, no complaints here!

Excellent location to explore Central Bohemia and within an easy commute of Prague. The Maxim hotel and Beroun itself offered incredible value for money with food and drink prices a third of those in Prague city. Our golfing party of four played four different courses bringing our total to seven different courses during our two trips to the Czech Republic. All courses are fantastic with amazing facilities and very friendly and helpful English speaking staff, this country is a great alternative to the usual Spain and Portugal destinations. The Maxim itself is quite basic but is clean and offers the facilities you would need when you are after 'a place to stay', the attached restaurant served high quality dishes worthy of much higher priced restaurants. Beroun is a small town with a small number of bars and restaurants, however is wouldn't suit the younger generation as it's not the liveliest place. Overall the Maxim and Beroun is well worth a visit but use it as a base not a resort.
